Small Interactions with Big Benefits

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Good Content Design Challenge! Today’s task centers around creating an interactive poll or quiz designed to boost engagement on social media. This challenge taps into several critical content design skills: clear, concise phrasing, an understanding of user interaction, and the ability to create an experience that both engages and informs. A well-crafted poll both drives clicks and gives your audience a voice—all while subtly reinforcing your brand’s message.

Today's Challenge

Day 2: Create an interactive quiz or poll for social media engagement.

The Poll

For today’s challenge, I created a poll on LinkedIn aimed at sparking conversation around job search strategies. The question I posed to my network was:

Friends and colleagues! When looking for a full-time job, where should you be spending most of your time?

The options I provided were:

  • Cold applying to jobs

  • Growing on social media

  • Looking for freelance work

You can check out the poll and cast your vote here. The goal was to tap into the collective wisdom of my connections and opening a dialogue. The topic of prioritization of tasks during a job hunt resonates with a lot of people in my network—whether they’re actively searching or simply offering advice—and I wanted to create a space for diverse perspectives. The responses help inform my own understanding of where the market is headed while providing value to others engaged in the job hunt.

Reflection: What I Learned

After completing this challenge, I’m reminded of how powerful simplicity can be. A quick poll may seem insignificant, but when framed well, it invites interaction and gives your audience a sense of agency. It also helped me think about the different ways people might approach the same problem—whether that’s crafting engaging copy or designing for accessibility. Each vote tells a story about what content designers prioritize and where they might need support.

This challenge reaffirmed the importance of empathy in content design—understanding not just what to say, but how to invite others into the conversation. Plus, it’s a great way to make content fun and interactive without overloading your audience. A win-win!

Looking forward to seeing how the poll evolves and what insights come from it!
